Diane and Larry Bryant

As you likely know by now both my mom and my dad passed away unexpectedly this past fall within 4 weeks of each other  My mom had a massive heart attack and passed away on October 23rd. Her memorial was originally scheduled for Friday, November 20, however my dad went into the hospital the Monday before her memorial and we had to put it on hold.  My dad was diagnosed with Covid and he passed away on Thanksgiving day, November 26th, with my brother and I at his side.

With all that has happened over the last several months, we made the decision to take my mom and dad's remains back to Boston and have a small family gathering with my uncle (mom's twin brother) in May.  We will bury their remains in her family plot, alongside her mom and dad and other family members.  I know this would mean so much to both of my parents, and especially my mom.

While we aren't doing a larger service, I felt it was important to find a way to honor them and their lives, along with allowing their friends all over the world the opportunity to share stories and celebrate their lives with us.  I created this memorial website for that purpose and hope that you will enjoy the site, their story, and photos.  I also hope that you will take time to share your own stories and memories, I have really loved hearing those as I've connected and talked with many of you.   For now, I plan for this website to be active for one year - through February 2022.

I know that they impacted so many lives, whether through friendships they built with their neighbors, church, through my mom's jail ministry, bible studies, India trip's, and my dad's hospice volunteer work, etc.  They had strong friendships that lasted a lifetime.

I am so grateful to have had my mom and dad as my parents and for the life they allowed me to have.  I am extremely grateful to my family and to all of the friends and neighbors that have taken me under your wings during such a hard time, that provided advice, food, support, and prayer.  While this is a very sad time, there is so much to celebrate - my mom and dad lived an amazing life, I've been reminded of that in pouring through all their photos.  They experienced more than most in a life-time and lived a very full and rich life and would want each of us to celebrate the lives they lived.  They had 54 married years together and are now together with their Lord and Savior.

Thank you so much for all of your love and support.  Our family invites you to share any stories or memories on the "Your Stories" tab. Please also share any photos too!

With so much love and gratefulness,

Jessica Bryant Mireles
